The National Health Mission (NHM) was launched on 12th April 2005 with the objective of improving healthcare delivery in underserved and remote areas. It includes the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), focusing on the health needs of the urban poor. In Raisen district, healthcare services are delivered through District Hospital, Community Health Centers (CHCs), Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Sub Health Centers, Mobile Medical Units, and various Mother and Child Health (MCH) initiatives.
